Dulles Technology Corridor is a business cluster containing many defense and technology companies, located in Northern Virginia near Washington Dulles International Airport. The term is used to describe the communities that are between Virginia State Route 267 and Virginia State Route 7. You can find the communities in Fairfax and Loudoun county. In 2011 Fairfax and Loudoun were named the highest-income countries in the United States. Not only can you find a high income here, you can also find highly educated individuals in the workforce. The average person employed in these communities are 25 and over.
The Dulles Technology Corridor includes Data Center Alley, which is located in Ashburn Virginia. According to the Washington Business Journal, it is said to be on the path to becoming the national hub for data and storage facilities. While driving through the Dulles Technology Corridor, you can find George Washington University’s Virginia Science and Technology Campus as well as the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Janelia Farm Research Campus.
